Genesis

Creation

In the beginning, God created the heavens, the earth, its resources, and humanity. He created Adam and Eve to fellowship with him in paradise. God created humanity in his own image (Gen. 1-2).

Deception

The serpent deceived Eve to violate her instructions, and Adam chose to disobey God’s command. As such, they disbelieved that the Lord would perform what he instructed (Gen. 3:1-5).

Disobedience

When Adam and Eve disregarded their instructions, they refused to perform the instructions, and they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. As such, their eyes were opened, and they no longer lived in innocence. Then, they became fearful and felt ashamed (Gen. 3:6-8).

Consequences

God addresses the sin, or the choice to transgress his commandment. Adam and Eve do not take accountability for their actions. The Lord creates consequences for humanity. Then, Adam and Eve were put out of the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3:9-24).

Faithfulness

God accepted Abel’s offering. Abel was faithful to the Lord (Gen. 4:1-7).

Discord

Cain despised his brother’s, Abel’s, sacrifice. And he came against his brother, and he slew his brother. Cain’s consequence was to roam as a fugitive (Gen. 4:8-12).

Family Activities

Each month, we aim to offer monthly activities, prompts, and Bible
verses. These materials may yield a menu of varied activities to perform individually and
or with the family to reinforce review and introspection.

Endurance

God monitored the actions of humanity. He had blessings for obedience and consequences for disobedience (Gen. 4-5:1-4).
